ARC Report

I am pleased to report that the Daniel W. Jackson Award has been
endorsed by the Regional Activities Board Awards and Recognition
Committee, and approved by the Region Activities Board during their
November 14, 2003 meeting in Seattle, Washington.

I am also very pleased to announce that two Region 3 IEEE volunteers
will be recognized by IEEE USA at the PACE meeting in March, 2004.
Charles Lord and Lee Stogner will each be receiving Citations of
Honors for their contributions to our organization.

The ARC portion of the Region 3 web site has long been in need of
maintenance by ARC, and will be updated during the weekend by properly
incorporating the ARC manual, and the instructions and forms for the
individual awards.  Also, the missing information about award
recipients will be provided to the webmaster.

The ARC manual is in the process of update to include all of the
Regions awards, including the new Daniel W. Jackson Award.

Finally, the due date for Region 3 Awards is December 1.  Copies of
the forms and instructions for Outstanding Engineer, Outstanding
Service, and Outstanding Engineering Educator have been provided
electronically to each area/council chair and to each section
chair. These documents should be passed to each section's awards chair
for action.
