Sections Congress Coordination

Starting this week, we will be sending out regular updates and
reminders about Sections Congress '05 in Tampa.  As our region is
hosting Sections Congress this year, sections in region 3 are being
asked to contribute to the financial burden.  The suggested
contribution from each section is US$2.00 per non-student member.
This is meant as a guide and is not an assessment that is mandatory.
Sections that can may contribute more, and those that are short of
funds may send less or none at all.
 
Sections Congress is a very special opportunity for your section chair
and for your section.  The meeting is a chance to directly effect the
operations of the whole institute.  Not to mention, exchanging ideas
with the best IEEE leaders from around the world.  The travel cost is
usually one third the responsibility of the section, so make sure your
budget has a line item that accumulates funds for this purpose.  Since
the meeting is in region 3, the costs to our members should be much
lower.  Sections should send additional attendees if possible.
