Mississippi Section Report The Mississippi Section celebrated 53 years as an IEEE section in 2003. They had a very diverse slate of eight section meetings in 2003. They have a web page up and running, with valuable IEEE information online, including meetings. The Mississippi Section web site is located at https://www.ewh.ieee.org/r3/mississippi/ Area 6 I hope to secure a Vice Chair for Area 6 within the next month. Also, I plan to schedule and participate in a Teleconference with Bill Harrison, Jim Howard, David Green and my 4 section chair. Area 6 is quite spread out geographically, as it covers almost 2 full states. Goals will include: 1. Encourage all members to have IEEE Section web sites with up-to-date information on them. 2. Remind all sections (on multiple occasions) of the February 20 reporting deadline to get the 10% bonus from IEEE. 3. Strengthen relationship with recently elected/re-elected Section Chairs, and establish regular communication channels. 4. Encourage all sections the participate in Region 3 meetings, including SoutheastCon 2004. Respectfully Submitted, R. Brian Skelton IEEE Region 3 Area 6 (AL/MS) Chair
