I have agreed to continue to work with Communications Chair Bill
Ratcliff, Webmaster Chip Dawson, Newsletter Editor Quang Tang and many
others this year to help facilitate communications for IEEE service to
the member.  I am serving as the Electronic Communications Coordinator
(ECC).

The electronic services used by IEEE volunteers includes E-mail,
mailing lists, Newsgroups, Web services, TWiki Site, IRC, aliases and
as well as experimental capabilities like richer conferencing
environments and collaboration services.

Spearking of the e-mail alias system... if you are new to your
position or are passing things to your successor, please let me know
how things should change.

Goals and objectives for 2004 include

  1. Keeping the aliases current.
  2. Keeping the services functioning including
     a. update to operating system on ie3col
     b. newsgroup revitalization
  3. Help Region 3 Excom decide to improve or decomission the ETI
     database system.
  4. Be an active member on the Communications Committee
