IEEE Florida Council Report for Region 3

The first IEEE Florida Council meeting for the year 2005 is scheduled
for January 29, 2005 at Orlando, Florida.

Other meetings planned at this time include:
Florida Council Meeting at SouthEastCon 2005 at Fort Lauderdale.
Florida Council Meeting at Tampa during the Section Congress.


After our October meeting, Florida Council voting members elected two
Engineers from Florida for Outstanding Service Award and Engineering
Educator Award.  We will be handing over these awards during our January
meeting.

Florida Council is also supporting SouthCon2005 at Orlando, Florida on
February 16 & 17, 2005.


We are also working on the following issues: 

1. Ensure that all sections have a web presence.
2. Ensure that all sections are represented at Florida council meetings.
3. Ensure that all sections are meeting IEEE reporting deadlines.
4. Ensure that all sections are posting meeting notices to FC calendar.
5. Ensure that we meet on a regular basis to exchange information and ideas.
