Conference Committee Report For Region 3 Committee Meeting 01-10-05 Southeastcon 2004 The preliminary closing report has been prepared, surplus distributed, and banking accounts closed. Chip Dawson's detailed report was submitted earlier. Southeastcon 2005 Technical papers have arrived and are being reviewed. Conference Committee met with SEC05 Committee for general training and specialized use of the Region 3 registration program. All other SEC05 activities are on track. Southeastcon 2006 Committee is gearing up for SEC06. Allan Long is adding to his committees. Southeastcon 2007 The SEC07 Committee is negotiating with the hotel for their meeting. The SEC07 Committee has filed insurance and conference listing requests with IEEE HQ. NC Symposium The NC Symposium on Biotechnology and Bioinformatics 2004 was held. The Committee prepared a post conference report to list their strengths and weaknesses. A decision to hold future conferences has not been made. Southcon The Southcon Committee has planned a successful conference for 2005. All plans are moving forward. Please make your plans to attend.
