Dear IEEE Section or Council Secretary,

To supply the appropriate rebate to your Section or Council, the IEEE
requires annual reporting of financial activity,  meeting activity and
current officers of Sections, Subsections, Councils, Chapters and Affinity
Groups.  Section and Council Secretaries are responsible for submitting the
2004 meeting and current officer reports for their Unit, and should verify
that any subgroups have submitted their reports, by 25 February 2005.  If
all reports are received by the deadline, your Unit will earn an additional
10% bonus, for timely reporting.

Reporting forms are no longer distributed in hard copy.  You must utilize
the updated online forms available at https://www.ieee.org/L31.   Available
on the site is a detailed report of L31 meeting activity submitted by your
unit and any subunits.  Click the link for the L31 form.  At the top of the
page is a link to "Query Reports" of data that has been submitted.  Simply
select the parent unit name (Section/Council) from the drop down list,
enter, and you can view all submitted reports.  No passwords are needed.

All updated forms, as well as instructions and information, are available
on the Section/Chapter Support web site at https://www.ieee.org/scsreports.
You should submit all meeting and officer reports directly from the web.
When your report is transmitted you will receive a confirmation copy, which
you should print and retain for your files.  Chapter, Subsection and
Affinity Group officers submitting the L31 report on the web may send a
copy to their Section Secretary and Society contact for their files by
including their email addresses in the "Email CC List"  field at the bottom
of the L31 form.   It is not necessary to forward a hard copy of the report
to the Operations Center (Section/Chapter Support).
