NC Council report to Region 3 Excom April 2005

North Carolina Council held its last meeting March 5, 2005 on the NC
State University Centennial Campus.

Represented at the meeting were 4 of the 5 sections.( Eastern, Central,
Westerner and Winston-Salem)

The council was visited by the Region 3 Director Bill Harrison.

The meeting included section reports and discussion on issues with in
the various sections.  The council Will be publishing the schedules of
the various section meetings on the council web site to help facilitate
Better communications between the sections.

We discussed participation of the sections at SoutheastCon 2005, and
Sections Congress 2005.   All Sections have been encouraged to
contribute to Sections Congress.

Other issues discussed included the revitalization of the Charlotte
section.  Several members of the] council have IEEE contacts in the
Charlotte area and will be contacting them to help stimulate the
Section.

We have selected a nominations committee for officers of the 2006-2007
term of the council.

Our next scheduled meeting will be Friday April 8, 7:00 PM as part of
SoutheastCon 2005.
