We have two upcoming events, which will support each other: Southeastcon
with the Region 3 meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, and the Sections Congress 2005
in Tampa.

As you may recall, the Life Members Committee has contributed $25,000 for
the Saturday lunch at SC'05.  The LMC chair, Om Malik, will make remarks
during the lunch pointing to the contributions life members make to
IEEE.  It will be helpful to have reserved tables for life members at that
lunch so that they can be easily recognized.

For Southeastcon, it will also be helpful to have reserved tables for at
least one meal for life members, because at that time we will be collecting
digital photos of life members for the tabletop exhibit being prepared by
IEEE for the LMC.  The backdrop for the exhibit will display numerous
snapshots of life members engaged in various activities.  That exhibit will
be displayed at SC'05.

Ideally, we can also get some photos from life member chapters (to be
redefined as life member affinity groups), perhaps of life members working
with section committees, judging science fairs, assisting teachers in
science demonstrations, advising students in robotics competitions, etc.

Mary Campbell at IEEE is overseeing the development of the exhibit; she
