Region 3 Meeting at Sections Congress

October 13-17, 2005

Tampa, Florida


Accomplishments and Activities
 


1. The section is continuing its activities in the form of technical and
administrative activities as well as community relations.


2. The North Carolina A&T State University and Guilford Technical
Community College  student branches are participating in the
Southeastcon'06 competitions. 


3. IEEE ED/MTT/SSC Chapter has been formed in 2005. Technical seminar
series is being sponsored by the newly formed ED/MTT/SSC chapter and the
CNC section.

4. The section members mentored high school robot teams for regional
competitions.

5. On July 22-23, 2005, CNC member Lonnie Baxley participated in the
IEEE Teacher In-Service Program Training in Atlanta, GA. Lonnie is
actively working to implement the program with local schools.


The section will continue to be active and continue to support Society
chapters to organize technical presentations by experts in advance
technologies and serve IEEE members in the region.
