Bill Ratcliff and I continue to participate on the IEEE ITSC (IT
Strategy Committee) making continuing to make contributions to the IT
Strategic direction.

The ECCs of all regions will meet face-to-face for the first time in six
years at Sections Congress 2005.  I know that the chair (Bill Ratcliff
of the committee) is looking forward to getting all of us together in
one room.

A few of our lists are semi-moderated in that only registered people can
send to these lists and non-registered transmissions must be "approved"
for distribution to the group -- this seems to me to be working well. 
There is a little frustration for the legitmate user who uses a
non-standard address till it gets added to the list but the group
benefits as only the moderator sees any spam hitting the list.

Finally, I would note that our group's compliance with our reporting
standards has fallen drastically.  Note that these standards are there
because we want many readers for each one-writer document and therefore
the writer must do a bit of extra work to make these easier for the
many readers.
