The LDO Project is now in Phase 2 which is intendedÊto extendÊthe LDO
principles and concepts to all Region 3 Area/Councils and Sections.Ê At
the LDO workshop held at SoutheastCon 2005 on April 8th,Êwe covered not
only LDO concepts, mentoring skills, and communication tools, but
alsoÊStrategic to Operational Planning.Ê As many that have attended
these LDO workshops, Leadership by Developing Others (LDO) involves more
than just mentoring skillsÊbut includes networking, collaboration, and
other techniques to help you build a winning teamÊand to grow in your
career by helping others.ÊÊÊ

Section chairs are encouraged to work with theirÊArea/Council chairs to
arrange LDO training sessions.Ê An LDO workshop in Atlanta is being
arranged with Atlanta Section ChairÊBill Marshall.Ê A presentation is
also slated for Eastern NorthÊCarolina Section this year.Ê

Since the SoutheastCon 2005 LDO workshop, key members of the LDO team
have been consumed with getting ready for Sections Congress in Tampa.Ê
Bill Ratcliff will be making a presentation on mentoring which will
include a mention of our LDO Project.Ê Charles Lord will be making a
presentation on Leadership training and LDO will also be included.Ê I
encourage all who plan to attend Sections Congress make sure you attend
the these presentations.Ê
