ÊParveen Wahid of the University of Central Florida attended the July Teacher In-Service Program. 2.Ê The University of Central Florida sent a representative to the Student Retreat in September. 3.Ê Our local ED/CMPT, LEO and PE/IA/PEL chapters have been very active. 4.Ê In September, the Consultants Network, which had been inactive for many years, had its affinity group status reactivated.Ê The affinity group is currently exploring ways to Òget the word outÓ about its affinity group. 5.Ê On September 16, we had a senior membership drive at Devry University.Ê We had current senior members available to do immediate endorsements as well as computer kiosks with Internet access available for senior member nominees to complete their elevation forms.Ê We nominated five members that evening with another three or four who needed additional information and would be submitting shortly. 6.Ê The Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society and the Instrument and Measurement Society and the local section sponsored AUTOTESTCON 2005 in Orlando this year on 26-29 September 2005. 7.Ê The ED/CPMT society and the University of Central Florida will be holding a free two-day colloquium.
