Subject: LDO Project Report for January 2006 ExCom Meeting

As stated in my last report to the ExCom, the LDO Project is now in Phase 2 which is
intended to extend the LDO principles and concepts to all Region 3 Area/Councils and
Sections.

On December 3, 2005 members of LDO team: Dave Green, Bill Ratcliff, and Charles Lord
held a workshop with member/volunteers of the Atlanta Section and of the associated
chapters of Technical Societies. Bill Marshall, the Atlanta Section Chair for 2005, was
most kind in organizing the meeting and the logistics and providing time in their
workshop for LDO. For additional information on this LDO workshop see the article
"Leadership By Developing Others goes to Atlanta" in the January 2006 Issue of the
Region 3 Newsletter.

The Atlanta Workshop was the first in a series to begin the process of introducing the
Principles of LDO where the maximum benefit can be derived within the local Section.
LDO is primarily aimed at developing an active membership because the member is IEEE.
