Just a quick report on SoutheastCON 2007. 

All is going well with SoutheastCON 2007. A meeting was held on January
7th.

We have a Student Coordinator on board from VCU.  

The rules for the contests are being developed and will be presented to
the committee for preliminary review by February 15th.

The Call for Papers is ready and a Paper Submission System from
SOFTCONF.COM has been chosen. The call for papers is waiting for the
SoutheastCON 2007 website to go live before being distributed.

EWH for SEC07 has been secured. We are in the process of looking for a
webmaster and hope to have one by February 1st (or next telecon).

The plan is for SEC07 to be "go live" at SEC06. (Except for Registration
which will most likely go live 6 mos prior to the meeting).

We are in the process of reviewing registration alternatives. Most
likely this will be out-sourced. IEEE CMS has been contacted and a
proposal received, awaiting committee review and approval.

A pre-planning meeting has been scheduled for March 11-12 @ the Richmond
Marriott. All final reviews of materials/websites/etc before we "go
live" will be done at this time.

We look forward to a successful conference March 22-25, 2007 in
Richmond!
