2006 Section Highlights:
- Support to educational activities
  o Provided $1000.00 support to Florida Tech Student Chapter to help
    them sponsor the 1/14/06 FIRST LEGO Robotics event for high-schoolers.
  o Provided judges and $750.00 prize money for Brevard South Regional
    Science and Engineering Fair on 2/4/06, awarding prizes for best
    presentations in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
  o Provided $500.00 grant to the Florida Tech Green Campus Group to
    support the Second Annual Florida Tech Solar Music Fair to be held
    on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2006. This event promotes use of
    renewable energy sources.
- Started a GOLD Affinity Group in March 2006

  A history of early linear predictive coded (LPC) speech and its
  accidental impact on the Internet Protocol (IP),ä 30 attendees

2/24/06 - CCTS Engineers Week Banquet (Melbourne section sponsored
  two tables), 15 attendees
