TREASURER'S REPORT 22 MAY 2006 The major financial activity since the Region 3 meeting in Memphis has been processing expense reports related to that meeting. The total expended for 38 expense reports is $21,293. According to attendance records, 63 people qualify for reimbursement. The hotel room night and meal expenses are not included in this total since an invoice has not been received from the Marriott. The funds in the assessment account as of 30 April 2006 total $18,579. A transfer of $15,000 to the Region 3 concentration account has been requested. A report has been submitted to IEEE-USA related to the St. Louis PACE workshop. The approved distribution process was followed, and the total allocation of $6,333 will be transferred. Neither of these transfers has been made, and the current balance in the concentration account is $64,804. The conference reserve balance is about $90k and the long term investment balance is about $162k. A report from the Region 3 Finance Committee was submitted to the Region 3 Audit Committee. Efforts were made to address all of the issues included in the audit report. The Finance Committee believes the audit process was helpful. The Regional Activities Board (RAB) has established a Region Treasurer group under the direction of the RAB Treasurer, David G. Green. The teleconferences provide the opportunity to interact with other Region treasurers throughout IEEE and to receive updates on RAB activities in a timely manner.
