Presently, Region 3 has 5 LM Affinity groups plus Alabama and Atlanta
are in the process of establishing LM groups. Region 3 will have, with
Eric Ackermann's help, a URL link for LMs. There are presently 3200 IEEE
LM members in Region 3. Sections are enthusiastic about working on
establishing functional LM groups. I am attending meetings in area,
particularly the Florida West Coast Section in an effort to get to know
fellow LMs and their needs - there are 12 counties in the Florida West
Coast Section with about 526 LMs some of which have to travel 140 miles
round trip to attend a meeting. I'm exploring avenues that will better
serve the members in Region 3.
