Narrative:

The Memphis Section is recovering from producing a very successful
SoutheastCon 2006.  We still have some chapters meetings for the
remainder of 2006 and then look forward to electing a new slate of
officers for the coming year.

Two initiatives this year are still in need of nurturing support:  the
formation of a student branch in the Jackson, TN area and the beginning
of a new multi-section chapter of the Education Society which Memphis
has agreed to host.

We received our 75-year banner this year and look forward to the next
quarter century of service to our members.
