Conference Committee Report

Region 3 EXCOM Members,
 
SEC07 in Richmond is near (March 22-25). Your host committee is working
diligently to prepare for your visit. You need to prepare by making your
hotel reservations, register for the meeting on line, and make your
transportation plans. SEC07 will be a great time to meet colleagues and
students and to learn new ideas about engineering, membership, PACE, and
section planning.

SEC08 in Huntsville is coming up to speed. The host committee will meet
you in Richmond to learn about your preferences and better plan for your
meeting next year.

SEC09 and SEC10 are still preparing their budgets and official bids for
their meetings. We hope to have those bids in plenty of time before
SEC07 for the Conference Committee to evaluate and present their bids to
the Region Committee for a vote.

Southcon as you know from Jim Beall’s earlier memo is in recess and
under evaluation for its future.

I know we have good candidates for future SEC’s. Please let me know your
intentions and proposed years.
