At a special IRC meeting of the ExCom, the ExCom approved the following
award recipients recommended by Mary Ellen Randall on behalf of the 
Awards Committee:

1)   Outstanding Engineer: Dr. Suresh Joshi 
Citation:  For sustained outstanding contributions to control
systems analysis and design methodologies for advanced aerospace systems.
 
(2)   Outstanding Engineering Educator:  Dr. James Conrad
Citation: For outstanding dedication and inspirational service 
to students and the engineering profession.
 
(3)   Outstanding Service:  Dr. Halden A.Morris 
Citation:  In recognition of outstanding contributions to the 
development of IEEE Region 3.
