During February 2007 the Section supplied judges and was a category sponsor for the 2007 NARSEF. The SouthEastCon 2008 Committee held monthly planning meetings in 2006 and continues to do so for 2007. Construction of the selected venue, The Embassy Suites, was completed during 2006. The Section supported the UAH Student Branch at the SouthEastCon 2006 in various competitions and is continuing this support for SouthEastCon 2007. As many Sections in the Region, we are also challenged with a reduction in membership and increase in arrears members. However, several of our Chapters were highly successful in increasing membership in their respective areas. Eleven of our members were upgraded to Senior Member in 2006. We also submitted two applications for Fellow Member nominations. Submitted by Willie J. Fitzpatrick, PhD Chair, IEEE Huntsville Section wfitzpatrick @ ieee.org 256-876-9945/256-883-4387
