Area 8 Report

The Lexington Section has been very active with factory tours and outreach activities in
addition to section meetings. Outreach activities included a picnic for University of Kentucky
Electrical Engineering students and a robot competition at Bluegrass Community and Technical
College. Technical meetings included a presentation on hazardous materials used in
electronics.

A joint meeting between the Lexington and Louisville Sections is planned for December.

The Louisville Section recently held a special meeting to develop ideas for activities for the
coming year.

Members present at Evansville-OwensboroÕs most recent meeting saw a demonstration and
technical presentation on the University of EvansvilleÕs prize-winning autonomous lawnmower.
