We have not yet submitted our 2008 Officer report; this will be completed within the week. 

Our January EXCOM meeting was held, Friday January 18th. We have had new members/ officers join
us. We have a great crew of return officers, plus new officers.

We have no meetings scheduled for January. In February, the Section will participate in
Engineer's Week activities including MathCounts, Student Contest, E-Week Kick Off Luncheon,
E-Week Banquet, Science Olympiad. We are scheduled to hold an S-PAC in March.

The section is working closely with Christian Brother's University (CBU) in planning and
coordinating an S-PAC to be held in the last week of March; venue and date are expected to be
set by Thursday, Jan 24th. We will be requesting sponsorship of area companies, and
participation by area Universities and working professionals. We are opening the event to all
engineering disciplines in the hopes of drawing greater attendance. The event is expected to be
an evening dinner with two speakers and time to network.

We have scheduled a strategy group meeting next week, Friday Jan 25th to review our calendar of
events for 2008; we hope to be able to coordinate all society technical meetings and section
meetings, in order to increase membership attendance at meetings and future events.
