Region 3 Public Information Report

Various public relation activities are listed below:
 
1. Attended the 2008 Board Series meeting in Louisville, KY and provided a Region
display at the event. Worked with Dr. Ferial El-Hawary regarding various PR
initiatives for Sections Congress 2008. Photographs were made at the event for
use in Region 3 as appropriate.

2. Organized and submitted electronic photographs relating to Region 3, and the various sections in Region 3, to Charles Lord for use with the Region 3 Archieve Project.

3. Participated in electronic Communication Committee meetings.

4. Worked with Jim Howard, Region 3 Representative for Sections Congress 2008,
and Joseph Hale, IEEE Headquarters, Member and Geographic Activities Department,
regarding PR and promotion initiative within Region 3 for Sections Congress 2008.

5. Submitted two articles for use in the most recent Region 3 Newsletter
regarding public relations. One article was related to promoting Sections
Congress 2008. Worked with others to collect pictures and various items for the
Region 3 newsletter. Submitted pictures from the 2008 Board Series meeting for
use in the newsletter.

6. Submitted promotional materials regarding Sections Congress 2008 to Eric
Ackerman for posting on the Region 3 Web Page.
