Area 7 (IEEE SC Council) Report for September  2008 Region 3 Meeting

The South Carolina Council held an in-person meeting on August 17.  Attendance was light. 

The SC Council approved a resolution to reimburse SC Council ExCom members for mileage at the
then current IEEE mileage rate for attendance at SC Council meetings and travel on Council
business (like Council representation at Section meetings) when the one way distance exceeds 50
miles.

At least three representatives from Area 7 will attend Sections Congress 2008:

Central Savannah River Section - Michael Rollins 
 
(not confirmed: Coastal South Carolina Section - Richard Baker) 
 
(hypothesis, possible representation of Piedmont Section by Lee Stogner)

Section activity expected to pick-up with the end of the summer vacation period. First of the
season Central Savannah River Section September 8.
