IEEE R3 ExCom - SPC Report for 9/8/2008 Meeting

As stated in my previous reports to the R3 ExCom, the SPC is continuing to
work with Director Ratcliff and the committee chairs within the Region 3
Executive Committee to develop their respective Tactical Plans which
includes Objectives, Projects and milestone schedule. Not a lot has
changed since my report on 7/28/2008.

So far we have met with the following committee chairs: Communications
Member Engagement and Development
Professional Activities Operations
Awards and Recognition
Conference
Educational Activities
Student Activities

Some of the committees have completed their plans and have posted them on
the Region 3 Form on-line community for discussion and comment. The
Educational Activities Committee has recently posted their Tactical Plan
to the Region 3 Form. The Communication Committee and Member Engagement
and Development Committee have previously posted their plans.

The Student Activities Committee and Awards and Recognition Committee have
developed a draft version of their plan and should be finalized and posted
soon.

Many of our key ExCom members have been occupied with preparing
presentations for Sections Congress 2008 and other high priority duties.
Hopefully after the Sections Congress we will be able to complete all
ExCom Tactical Plans and move into our next stage: Project Development and
Progress Tracking.
