Area 5 (TN Council) Report for January 2009 Region 3 ExCom

Area 5 (Tennessee Council) Report for Jan 12, 2009 Region 3 ExCom  meeting 

Three TN sections (Memphis, Central, and East TN) are participating, along with
Syracuse, NY section, in an Kerala India Sister Section Partnership that grew
out of a meeting at Sections Congress. A MOU agreement has been put in place.
Susan Ronning of Memphis has coordinated several conference calls using Skype
and Abraham George of Nashville setup a commercial conference call. Several
ideas have been discussed such as planning S-PAC’s which Memphis section is
currently planning. Another conference call is scheduled for Jan 20 using SKYPE

A Council – wide meeting and Officer Training initiative has been postponed due
to insufficient response from the sections. A telecom/web meeting alternative
has been proposed and will be discussed at Southeastcon.
