Region 3 action items:

1. Review the restirction limiting Society Chapter online registration to
Chair and Treasurer. This limitation discourages Soceity Chapter participation
since the other officers are not recognized. For example, the Huntsville, AL
Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society has a full list of officers as shown
below to support the 120+ AESS members but only the Chapter Chair and the
treasurer, who is also the IEEE Huntsville Section treasurer can be entered
unless you use the top section of the form designated for IEEE sections.

2. Proposal: Authorize support funds for two meetings, one at the Alabama
Section, Birmingham, AL for an invited speaker and organizational meeting to
increase member participation, renew officers and rejuveniate the Section
(cost not to exceed $500) and for one meeting for the Mobile IEEE Section an
invited speaker and organizational meeting to increase member participation,
renew officers and rejuveniate the Section (cost not to exceed $700) for a
total Region 3 expendiditure of $1,200 for R3 Area 6.

3. What is the status of the Mobile, AL IEEE Section since it has been
delisted on the REgion 3 website.
