This included a tri-fold photo display highlighting various R3 activities. Hard copies of the most recent R3 Newsletter were available for distribution at the table. Working with IEEE USA, a hard copy of a Public Relations Guide was displayed. Additional hard copies were distributed during the Council/Area meetings on Friday evening and at other activities as appropriate. Hard copies of the R3 Newsletter were also distributed at the Council/Area meetings. A separate standup display to promote membership was displayed, along with business card size membership recruitment cards. Coordinated with Chris McManes regarding an IEEE USA display at SoutheastCon including setup. Chris, representing IEEE USA, also attended to promote Public Relations at SoutheastCon. Photographed various activities at SoutheastCon 2010 including the Award Ceremony. Photographs were sent to various individuals as appropriate. Photographs were organized in chronological order and photo processed for use on the Region 3 Web Page (the photos were placed on the R3 Web Page by Eric Ackerman). Photographs documenting the complete event were also sent to Charles Lord for R3 archival purposes (this included all those receiving awards and recognition at the Award Ceremony). A group picture was made following the Award Ceremony of the Region 3 Director, Region 3 Director Elect, and seven (7) past Region Directors who were present at the event for R3 archival and historical purposes, is posted on the R3 Web Page and also sent to Charles Lord for archival purposes. Some of the photographs made at SoutheastCon will be used in the next Region 3 Newsletter. I attended the History Committee meeting at SoutheastCon. Per discussion at the meeting, I prepared a short selection of pictures (about 15 of a past R3 event, SoutheastCon 2009, for submittal to one of the committee members to use as an example of a condensed photographic document of a R3 event for historical purposes. It is planned to send pictures to Charles Lord for R3 archival purposes on a continuing basis, as appropriate. An additional person was suggested for the Public Relations Committee, and was recruited at SoutheastCon.
