Subject: SPC Report for 30 August ExCom Meeting

Charles Hickman, R3 History Committee Chair reports that the R3 History update
is nearing completion and should be published soon. It will be available on
the R3 web site.

The R3 ExCom endorsed the 15 July 2010 revision to the R3 Operations Manual at
their 2 August 2010 meeting and is available on the R3 web site.

Due to some health problems I am unable to travel very far from home. I
therefore am stepping down as Chair of the R3 SPC effective 1 September 2010.
George McClure our SPC Vice Chair has agreed to serve as SPC Chair. I have
agreed to support George and remain active in the SPC and other IEEE
functions.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all who have worked and
supported me throughout these many years.
