Let me start by thanking Dick Riddle for his efforts with Region 3 SPC over
the last several years.  He has helped move the Region along in many ways and
has provided guidance for many Directors.  I look forward to being able to
continue call on him in the upcoming years.  Thanks also to George McClure
for agreeing to serve as Chair and continue SPC's important work.

You may have heard that IEEE is trying an eMembership option.  While this
is principally being done in specific countries in Region 8, 9, 10, Jamaica
in Region 3 is also participating.  More information is available at
https://www.ieee.org/emember .

Congratulations to the sections:
 Central Georgia
 Central Savannah
 Coastal South Carolina
 Hampton Roads
 Tallahassee
These sections were "2010 IEEE-USA MD Incentive Winners" who had year-over-year
section membership improvement.  Region 3 had the most sections obtaining 
this recognition.

The new Region 3 Collaboration Site is operational at 
https://region3.oc.ieee.org/ .  Log in with your IEEE WebAccount credentials
and if necessary issue a request to join the community.  Either I or one of
the others who have volunteered to administer the system will promptly
enable your membership on the site.

Many thanks to Charles Hickman who has just completed an update to the 
Region 3 History document.  SPC is now reviewing it and then it should be
available on the Region 3 Website.  It is interesting reading and now includes
some pictures as well as text.

Status of Goals for 2010:

* Finish the migration of duties accumulated while Region 3 Secretary to
  the new secretary or others as appropriate
  - Complete (unless Gregg Vaughn tells me differently)  
* Visit at least four Area/Councils
  - Received two invitations
* Actively participate on Region 3 Committee, the ExCom, and Region 3
  Committees as appropriate and required
  - Continuing
* In support of and in coordination with Director Stogner and the 2010 
  Region 3 Goals and Objectives, enable and encourage Region 3 committees
  to be effective in fulfilling their charter.
  - Continuing

As an action report for 2010 since my last report, I have

* Assisted Secretary Vaughn with Fall Registration tool
* Assisted Director Stogner as requested
* Completed the migration of the R3 site from CommunityZero to Sixent
* Continued other non-Region 3 IEEE duties (Secretary, Past Treasurer,
  ITTC, IIAC, vTools and related activities)
* Attended the Fall 2010 MGA OpCom
