COASTAL SC SECTION Report

-No R3 issues to report or that need attention.

-Coastal SC section doing well. The section member attendance at monthly
meetings is consistent.

-The Coastal section held meetings since last report: 10 Technical Meetings
with various industry speakers (3 of which were DLS from the PES and COM), 1
Social event (Annual Holiday party), 1 Engineers Week banquet

-Chapters societies associated with Coastal – Power&Energy(PE031),
Computer(C016), and Communications(COM019) – All doing well, strong membership
in each.

-Coastal currently has scheduled technical meetings with speakers through May.
Plan to do a social type event in end of April.

-We held a very productive EXCOM meeting in January and discussed plans for
conducting a professional development day hosted by the section for the local
community to increase awareness for the section.

 -Sections Congress – The section will send at least one delegate to SC2011.
