Jacksonville Section Report for SoutheastCon 2012

There are no Issues requiring action by the Region 3 Committee or ExCom at this time.

*Section Activities:*

The Jacksonville Section is active and reports have been submitted in time for
maximum rebates.

The PES/IAS chapter has been active providing four technical programs in the
past year. Attendance has been excellent at these events.

We also have a very nice Winter social event at a riverfront restaurant.
Member's meals were subsidized by the section. There was good student
attendance too

The UNF student branch has been very active and has hosted a number of section
and chapter meetings. The section has offered financial support for their
participation in student competitions.

The Computer chapter has not been active in the last year. We to revitalize it
in the coming months.

Preparations for SECon 2013 are coming along well. We presently have 8 people
actively engaged on our committees, and the ground work is well underway.
