Policy Committees Liaison Report

The next meeting of the Committee on Transportation and Aerospace Policy will
be held on 20 March. Participation by telephone is possible.

A current issue is the possible interference with GPS by ground-based
transmitters to extend wideband internet access. LightSquared obtained FCC
approval for this, but after protests from GPS users the approval was
withdrawn. One of the services affected would have been air traffic control.
