To All: I listened in on the meeting last night and read the report format last night from the URL you provided. My URL that I copied last night did not work tonight so I found the description below of the report requirements on the Region 3 website by clicking on the calendar for the meeting. From what I recall from last night’s reading you wanted to know how we engaged our members outside of our regular meetings so that is what I’ll report. The report should present the Issues requiring action by the Region 3 ExCom or Committee Successes/Opportunities for Engaging the member, volunteer, non-member, public Notable section activities (positive and negative) In the Virginia Mountain Section we do little outside of our regular dinner meetings which include invited speakers. We do provide continuing education credits for those who attend our meetings. We also provide financial support for the student hardware teams from Va Tech and VMI who will be competing at SoutheastCon. I don’t know of any issues requiring action by the Region 3 ExCom or Committee. I look forward to hearing what other sections are doing to see if we can adopt some of their practices in the Virginia Mountain Section to better serve our constituents.
