IEEE Region 3 Communications Committee Report
For ExCom Meeting 23 April 2012


Most of the communications committee met at SoutheastCon and discussed ways in
which we could work together. The subcommittee chairs indicated that their
specific areas of focus did not require much coordination with other
subcommittees chairs to do their job effectively. I would like to coordinate
committee level collaboration without interfering with their focused
activities.

Bill Ratcliff and I have discussed a draft reorganization of the
communications committee that he and Bill Clayton had worked on earlier. It
would rename the communications committee to be the information management
committee. I am reviewing the proposal and will continue to work with Bill
Ratcliff. I will report back to the ExCom at a future meeting.
