Fall Webinars

I propose that we host a series of webinars using WebEx to provide training for the sections.

The training will be targeted to

• Calendar
• New Officers (towards end of year)

The Training will be organized by function to accomodate that different sections accomplish functions by volunteers in different positions (or just by volunteer) and then also “advertised” by the traditional position to allow “standard” officer positions to be mapped onto this training easily. We will attempt to record, and make available, the WebEx webinars for those that miss the presentations.

Example topics:

• N&A and the Election Process (using vTools.Voting)
• Financial Operations (probably multi-part)
  • getting the budget into Netsuite
  • preparing the end of the year report
  • financial workflow for good section management
• Awards - recognition in and beyond the section
• Promoting professional activities in the section
• Member communications
• Engaging the member
• Planning section activities for the year
• Supporting continuing education in the section

We will need to

• Plan the calendar of sessions
• Develop the training
• Advertise sessions
• Conduct the sesssions
• Survey the results

I am seeking volunteers to define and work on a topic (either individually or with others) so that we have a collection of webinars for the Fall. We will obviously not cover all the topics but will have to prioritize both by importance to section and by an available volunteer.
