Conference Committee Report
January 2013

I will not be able to attend the telecon.

A brief update:

I have been working with Butch on SoutheastCon 2013. I believe that Butch has
got the conference well in hand and he can fill you in on the progress.

We would like the Region 3 attendees to go online and register as soon as
possible. Also, it appears there are other events in the hotel, so we need to
get our hotel rooms ASAP as we may have to find overflow facilities as we may
not be able to increase our room block on certain nights.

I have been working with the Jamaica Section on getting the last few items
needed to get SoutheastCon 2015 through the last approval steps. We should
have information for presentation at the SoutheastCon this year.

As my goals state I am accepting proposals for SoutheastCon 2016 and beyond. I
know that some member from Mobile had expressed interest, as well as Eastern
North Carolina Section. I have also been contacted by the Hampton Roads
Convention & Visitors Bureau about holding a conference in the area. Any
section that is interested in hosting, please see me and we can start working
on proposal for the conference.
