Area 8 Report for the February 25 Region 3 Executive Committee Meeting

The three sections in Area 8 continue to be active and perform well.

The Evansville-Owensboro section is providing support for and attending the
University of Evansville Engineer’s Week Banquet in February. A plant tour of
the Toyota-TMMI plant in Princeton, Indiana is scheduled for March. Chair Paul
Kuban is planning to attend Southeastcon with a group of USI students in
April.

The Section ExCom met in January to map the year and prepare a basic budget. A
committee was appointed to prepare their E-Day exhibit. University of Kentucky
students will compete Feb 28 in a paper contest. The winning paper will be
submitted to Region3 for consideration. The Lexington SEC2014 Committee has
been meeting to work on preparations for the conference. The section leaders
are considering ways to celebrate the section’s 50th anniversary; they are
open to suggestions.
