Region 3 Past Director's Report, February 2013

I am wearing two hats tonight and I need your help on both,

- *Region 3 N&A Chair*.  As of today, we still need to fill the position
of Region 3 Student Activities Chair.  In recent years, this position has
been held separately by Eric Ackerman and Regina Hannemann.  This position
is a Region 3 ExCom position and is responsible for the planning and
coordination of Student Branch activities across all Region 3 universities
and schools.  This includes the student activities that are held as part of
the annual Southeastcon.  If you are interested in holding this position
after Regina, please give me a call and I can answer any questions that you
have.

- *Interim Region 3 Membership Development Chair*.  Our current MD Chair,
Bill Williams, is taking a medical leave of absence.  In his place, I will
act as his Interim Chair.  To bring everyone up to date on where we stand
on membership, I have attached the slides from last week's IEEE Membership
Development web cast.  Please take the time to review these slides and let
me know who can help in the areas of,

    Calls to members that have not renewed
    New higher level memberships and improving the First Year Experience
    Nominations for new Senior Members
