Report from IEEE Region 3 WIE Liaison for 25 Feb 2013

I am an antenna engineer working at Honeywell (formerly EMS Technologies)
in Peachtree Corners.

2. The IEEE WIE Executive Committee will be meeting in Atlanta May 4-5. They
have expressed interest in meeting with the Atlanta WIE Affinity Group and the
Georgia Tech WIE Student Branch Affinity Group (SBAG). The GaTech group calls
themselves WECE and won the WIE Committee's SBAG of the Year Award in 2012.

3.  I will be attending SouthEastCon in April.

4.  Mary Ellen has asked me to followup on the Charlotte and NW FL WIE groups.

5.  Cathy  attended the WIE Committee meeting call Friday 2/22.
    Several special funding requests were approved.
    The funding cap per request is $300.
    Next call is scheduled for March 15.
