Consolidate Report for IEEE Region 3 Automated Tools Chair and 
IMC (Information Management Coordinator)

I.  Projects & Activities for 2013

Automated Tools:

The Region 3 Automated Tools Committee has been focusing on planning
sessions for the IEEE Region 3 Volunteer Sessions at IEEE
SoutheastCon 2013.  The sessions will include:

1.  A Panel Session on the use of IEEE Tools at the IEEE local
    geographic unit level.
    
2.  A breakout session offering demonstrations/training on
    IEEE vTools.
    
3.  A breakout session offering demonstrations/training on
    SAMIEEE (Oracle Business Intelligence platform).
    
Ongoing during 2013 will be a focus on extending communications with
the local geo units in support of IEEE tools.

IMC

Recently appointed as IMC, time has been spent reviewing minutes of
IEEE MGA IT Oversight and vTools Committees.  

The Region 3 IMC attended the March 2013 meeting of the IEEE MGA 
vTools Committee.  Some of the primary discussions included:

   -  Internal changes to the platform
   
   -  Intent to define volunteer access rights to vTools
   
   -  Future vTools platforms, in particular the Section Vitality
      Dashboard
    
    
II.  Issues Needing ExCom Attention

1.  Region 3 Operations Manual is still in need of revision
    regarding Communications Committees section, particularly
    the subsection on Automated Tools (referred to in the Ops
    Manual as Electronic Communication Systems Coordination).
