IEEE Region 3 ExCom, Past-Director's Report, 9 September 2013

Vacations are over and our students are back on campus.  And our Sections
are back from their summer break.  It's time to focus on Member and
Membership Development.  Attached to this report are the membership
documents that you need to understand where you stand in the growth of your
Section and of Region 3.

As per the email you received, we do have a IEEE Membership Development
Webcast coming up on Friday, September 20. Please make sure that your Section
participates. We do need representation from all Sections to ensure we are in
sync with the new 2014 Membership Year that just began.

2014 Membership Development Kits have shipped to all Sections.  Let us know
if you did not receive yours.

For any of you that are new to Membership Development, Jim Howard and I are
willing to support monthly web casts just for Region 3 to help train,
organize and execute our regional membership campaign.

Lastly my duties as Past Director will end in December.  One of my final
tasks will be to work with the outgoing and new Director to develop a
proposed Region 3 ExCom for 2014.  Let me know if you are interested in
supporting Region 3 at the ExCom level in 2014.
