Director-Elect Report

There are only a few things to report:
 
Meeting attended: 
11 December - IEEE R3 N&A (Teleconference)
 
I will attend several IEEE Board meetings over the next few months.  I will
discuss with Mary Ellen the scope of my duties over the next two years.
 
I travelled in India during the first three weeks of January.  I visited many
IEEE members and heard many times that they welcome US insights of field.
Since Region 10 will have an even larger impact on IEEE in the future, Region
3 might want to consider establishing a relationship with a section in Region
10 (this is similar to what towns do to establish “Sister Cities”).  These
relationships could include everything from sharing presentations to travel.
Something to think about.
