Region 3 Nominations and Appointments Committee motion.

The Region 3 Committee approves the following slate of candidates, as
recommended by the Region 3 ExCom, to be presented to Region 3 voting
members for the office of the Region 3 Director-Elect/Director-Elect
2016-17:

John Montague (Columbia Section)
Gregg Vaughn (Alabama Section)

In accordance with our Bylaws and the Region 3 Operations manual, the
Region 3 N&A issued a call for suggestions to the entire Region 3
membership (through the newsletter) and made frequent mailings and
announcements to the Region 3 Volunteers. Later, the committee
reviewed the nominees and verified willingness to serve, and selected
the two individuals above to propose to the Region 3 ExCom to
recommend to the Region 3 Committee. The Region 3 ExCom passed a
motion recommending the above two individuals at its 14 July 2014
meeting.

Assuming Region 3 Committtee approval, this slate will be
presented to the members in August of 2015 for a vote to select the
next Delegate-elect/Director-elect who will then also serve as Region
3 Delegate/Director in 2018-19.

If we wish to discuss the anything about the specific candidates at
the meeting, we will have to do so in executive session. Lacking any
pre-notification of intent to do so, I will bring this motion in open
session for action by the Region 3 Committee -- reserving the right to
request an executive session if needed.
