IEEE Region 3 ExCom

My recent activities for IEEE Region 3 have been mainly in two areas:

(1) Activities related to the MOVE Truck.

Mary Ellen Randall has asked me to be the chair of a new committee
that will be part of the MOVE effort.  This committee will oversee the
hardware that is or will be installed on the truck.  Several volunteers will be
helping in that effort including Grayson Randall, Ken Pigg, Butch Shadwell,
Jim Conrad, and Tim Forrest.  Our first meeting will be held tomorrow 
just prior to the IEEE Region 3 ExCom Meeting.  We are going to consider
an issue related to truck maintenance.

(2) Activites related to revising the Operations Manual.

My work is continuing on revising the IEEE Region 3 Operations Manual.
On Wednesday, 14 September 2016, the latest version was presented to
David Green, Jim Conrad, Bill Ratcliff, and Mary Ellen Randall.
They made comments that helped with the effort.
Bill Ratcliff is working on part of the revision relating to the
activities of what is currently known as the Strategic Planning
Committee.  

One of the purposes of this revision is to combine functions in 
more similar groups and to eliminate functions that are no longer needed.
