TUTORIALS 3 & 6 ARE CANCELLED!!!!

Technical Tutorial 1  4 hours.  9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with breaks and Lunch included.

Wiremold, an AIA/CES Passport Provider, will present a program on wire and cable management solutions entitled Paving the Way with Telecommunications. Understand new design criteria and space/pathway requirements for telecommunications design.  Learn what key questions to ask clients, tenants, and other team members during the design process.  This is a 1.5 hour credit program.

Pass & Seymour will present an educational program on Wiring Devices.  Learn how the criteria used in making electrical device decisions can impact HSW.  This is a 1 hour credit program.

Ortronics will present a coordinating piece on Connectivity and Communications Devices.  Focus of this presentation of the “4th utility” is the physical layer of the LAN, design considerations, and the importance to network performance.  This is a 1.5 hour credit program.

TUTORIALS 3 IS CANCELLED!!!!

Morning: Glenn E. Oliver, Research Engineer, DuPont Microcircuit Materials, presents Introduction to Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC) Technology.  As emerging applications demand higher performance and component density than can be accommodated by traditional printed wiring boards, new approaches to electronics packaging are required.  This session will provide an introduction to the electronics packaging challenges faced by today’s designers.

Afternoon:  James Kemerling, Chief Technical Officer, Triad Semiconductor, Inc. will speak on Sensor Interfaces. In this presentation we will discuss the various types of sensors and circuits used to convert their output to a voltage. In addition, we will touch on the requirements of analog-to-digital conversion techniques and address the fundamental issues associated with wireless transmission of sensor data.
