IEEE Canada Board Member Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Canada is managed by a Board of Directors whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that IEEE Canada provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Rob Anderson is Vice President, SIMMARIX Inc., a company formed in 2005 to provide Energy Information Management Services to water, gas and electric utilities and end-use-customers. In addition, Rob is a principal in Ardent Group Inc, a business and process management consulting firm operating in the deregulated electric industry in Alberta since 1996.

Following graduation from the University of Saskatchewan, 1991, he joined ENMAX Power Corporation (formerly the City of Calgary Electric System) holding a variety of positions over 10 plus years. After leaving ENMAX, he joined Online Business Systems as a Senior Energy Analyst in Calgary. He stays active in his community by serving as secretary for his neighborhood home owners association worked and judging numerous science fairs and project competitions. Rob is a Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geo-Physicists of Alberta (APEGGA). In 2004, he received the Western Canada Edward F. Glass Merit Award for "Outstanding Service and Leadership to Southern Alberta Section, Western Canada Area and IEEE Canada".

Rob has volunteered with IEEE in a variety of roles since his graduation from university and is currently serving on the IEEE Canada Board of Directors as the Treasurer.
