Davood Yazdani (SM’IEEE), received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen’s University, Canada, in 2009.

He was a Postdoctoral fellow at the Queen’s Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER) in 2009-10 where he worked on hybrid renewable energy conversion using wind and solar power. Currently, Dr. Yazdani holds Senior Power Electronics position at OSRAM Sylvania, Danvers MA, working on LED lighting driver’s design.

Dr. Yazdani is a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng) in Ontario. His research interests includes: LED Drivers, Wind and Solar Inverters, AC-DC and DC-AC Converters, Synchronization techniques and Harmonics Detection/Elimination.
